Finder
Some simple tricks
- Press
Spacequick look folders or files. - Right click
Finder window's titleto see the current work path. - Drag and drop a file or folder into the terminal window, get the file's location path.
- Copy a file or folder to a text input zone, get the file's location path.
- In the icon zone of
File Info Panel( call it by pressCommand+Ion a file or folder), you can change the file's icon to the picture which is pasted into the clipboard, by pressCommand+V. HitDeletekey to recovery the icon.
View
Finder Menubar>View>Customize Toolbar...> ShowIcon only- In
Home Directory>Finder Menubar>View>Show View options>Show Library Folder
Sidebar
- Make new folder 'Workspace' in the home directory && drag and drop it into sidebar.
- Give 'Workspace' folder a nice icon such as 'smartFolderIcon.icns' (Location:/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources/).
Rename && pre-define some tag for future use. Such as:
